The Tools, including their source code, transfer-function and synthesis engines, schematic renderer, page designs, text, and layout, are the original work of contempl8.io and are protected by copyright. The underlying mathematics of analog filters (transfer functions, pole/zero relationships, E-series values, and standard design equations) are general engineering knowledge and are not claimed as proprietary.

You may use the Tools, free of charge, to design and analyse filters for personal, educational, and commercial engineering work, and you may rely on their numeric results subject to the disclaimer below. You may not:

• copy, redistribute, rehost, or resell the Tools or their source code as your own product or service;
• remove or obscure this notice or any attribution;
• present the Tools (or a derivative) as endorsed by or affiliated with contempl8.io without written permission.

The Tools are provided “as is”, for reference and educational purposes, with no warranty of any kind — express or implied — including but not limited to accuracy, completeness, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

All results assume ideal components and ideal op-amps: exact values, zero tolerance, infinite gain-bandwidth, zero output impedance, no parasitics, and no temperature, noise, or supply effects. A physically built circuit will differ from these results because of:

• component tolerances and E-series rounding (the computed values are rounded to standard parts and the resulting f₀/Q/gain are shown — verify they meet your spec);
• real op-amp gain-bandwidth, slew rate, input/output limits, and stability;
• inductor/capacitor parasitics (ESR, self-resonance, leakage) and board layout effects.

Always verify any design with independent calculation, simulation (e.g. SPICE), and bench measurement before committing it to hardware.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, contempl8.io shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or other loss or damage — including damaged hardware, project delays, or commercial loss — arising from use of, or reliance on, the Tools or their results.

Do not use the Tools as the sole basis for any safety-critical, medical, aerospace, automotive, or other high-reliability design. Such designs require independent qualification by a competent engineer.

The result graphs are drawn with Plotly.js, loaded from cdn.plot.ly and used under its own MIT licence. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages; Cloudflare Web Analytics collects anonymous, aggregate traffic data only — no personal information, accounts, or filter inputs are stored or transmitted. All calculations run locally in your browser.
